Tuesday
Tuesday starts our week off with competition results here at the Shepparton Golf Club with 78 players hitting off in the Dawes & Vary Riordan Stableford Medley competition. In A Grade we saw a big win go to Murray Yuille with 44 points from runner up Luke Turcato with 41 points. B Grade saw Gerard Goonan claim a well-deserved win with 40 points from runner up David Cahill with 39 points. Ball placegetters required 36 points on a count back or better to claim a prize while the nearest to pin on hole 12 went to Greg Pearson with 499cms.
Wednesday
Wednesday brought together 54 players in the women’s Stellar Café’ Stableford competition. A Grade saw Mandy Faram with a fine win with 37 points from runner up Sonya Hill with 36 points. B Grade saw Helen Ryan score a nice win with 42 points from runner up Karen Shannon on 40 points. C Grade saw Margaret Watts top the table with a great 44 points from runner up Wendy Baxter with 41 points. Ball winners required 36 points or better for a prize while in the nearest to pins Dianne McMinn took out hole 12 and Diane Ingram was successful on hole 17. In the women’s 9-hole Stableford competition Wendy Davies took out the win with 21 points from runner up Ann Furphy with 17 points.
Thursday
Thursday saw 97 players in the CAF Consulting Par Medley competition. A Grade win went to Ray Sizer with a very strong +5 from runner up Vincent Chan with +3 on a count back to Robert Woodhouse. B Grade saw Greg Burness in some fine form with a +4 win over runner up John Spies with +2 on a count back to David Baldwin and Ron Wilkinson. Ball placegetters required +1 or better for a prize while in the nearest to pin Robert Woodhouse claimed hole 12 and the A Grade Pro Pin with 555cms, B Grade Pro Pin went to Robert Weston with 850cms, C Grade Pro Pin was not claimed so will jackpot to next week and hole 17 went to Paul Caverzan claimed hole 17 with 287cms. Thursday also saw the conclusion of the men’s KFC Chicken Run with the win going to David Cahill with a very tidy 24 points from runner up Scott Harrison with 23 points. Ball winners required 19 points on a count back or better while the nearest to pins on hole 12 went to Kevin O’Donoghue with 98cms and Tim Cahill claimed hole 17 with 273cms.
Friday
Friday saw the 45 women hit off in the days KFC Chicken Run with Jo-Anne Foster claiming a dominant win with 25 points from runner up Jennifer Yuille with 21 points on a count back to Viv Jeffery. Ball placegetters required 19 points or better for a prize.
Saturday
Saturday saw 150 men and women tee off in the Vic Plumbing & Gas Stroke competition which included the men’s Monthly Medal. In the women’s competition Chris Dwyer played some great golf to take the win with a round of 69 nett from runner up Ruth Stephan with a nett round of 72. In the Men’s A Grade James Faram continued his good form with a nett round of 69 from runner up Vincent Chan with a nett round of 70. B Grade saw a great battle with Ryan Gleeson taking the win with a nett round of 70 on a count back to runner up Matt O’Bryan. In C Grade Talon Wilson secured the Monthly Medal in winning his grade with a big round 65 nett from runner up Rhys McLennan with a nett round of 67. Ball placegetters required rounds of 73 on a count back in both the men’s and women’s competitions to gain a prize while in the nearest to pins David Faram claimed both hole 2 and A Grade Pro Pin with 260cms, B Grade Pro pin went to Koady Murdoch with 354cms, C Grade pro Pin went to Brendan Newbound with 305cms, hole 5 went to Rohan Thomas with 90cms, hole 12 went once again to Rohan Thomas with 135cms and hole 17 went to Eamon Reeves with 292cms .
Sunday
Sunday saw 47 players in the Stableford Medley competition which saw A Grade win going to Mansfield Golf Club visitor Luke Berriman with 38 points from runner up Steve Tonks with 36 points. B Grade saw a leader board topping win by Callum Thompson with 42 points from runner up Dakota North with 38 points. Placegetters required 33 points on a count back or better for a prize. Sunday also saw the completion of the weekly 9 hole Stableford competition with the win going to Jack Supple with 18 points from runner up Shannon Clark with 15 points.

So lets have a look to the week on Wednesday the women hit off in both a Stableford 18 hole and 9 hole Stableford competition followed in the afternoon by the men’s Chicken Run, Thursday sees a Stableford Medley competition with the afternoons men’s Chicken Run Overflow, Friday we see the women’s Chicken Run, Saturday we see the start of our Spring Tournament with a Stableford for the men and women with the Spring Tournament continuing on Sunday with a Canadian Foursomes and a Stableford Overflow and not to forget the weekly 9 hole Stableford competition .
